The Marriage Blessing Ceremony is one of the most anticipated events for Unificationists. On October 3, 2015, communities across the U.S. will host the event for the couples in their community.
If you’re wondering how you can get involved, here are five ways anyone can help prepare for the big day.
1. Invite Someone!
Invite a married couple to participate inr the Marriage Blessing Ceremony and rededicate their marriage in front of God, our Heavenly Parent. Or, invite someone to just observe the ceremony and meet the community.
2. Internalize on the value of the Marriage Blessing.
Ask yourself these important questions: What does the Marriage Blessing mean to me? What does it mean to True Parents and Heavenly Parent? What value does it bring to our society and culture?
3. Get inspired.
Ask someone you respect about their Marriage Blessing story. Listen to their years of experience and learn from their wisdom. A simple conversation at church or on the phone can really get you inspired.
4. Support couples receiving the Marriage Blessing.
If you’re not participating, your prayers and support can mean a lot. Say a prayer for a couple you know is participating. Pray for their wellbeing and strength as a new Blessed Couple, as well as their relationship and family.
Or, you can support them by just letting them know you care. Have a nice conversation or send them a quick message. You can also support a couple you know by giving a congratulatory gift.
In addition, you can offer your help at a local Marriage Blessing Ceremony in your area.
5. Reflect on your own Marriage Blessing.
If you’ve already received the Marriage Blessing, let this be a time to reignite your gratitude for your life, your spouse, and the Marriage Blessing from True Parents.
